The Avon Barksdale

The Avon Barksdale is an indie rock band based in Boston. Its current members are: Jay Breitling (guitar & voice), Cheney Brand (bass), Jeff Stern (drums, guitar & voice) and Ken Urban (voice & keyboard & sampler). Collaborators include Wayne SF (analog synth).

The mini-album THE HAPPY SAD (featuring the music from Ken's play) was recorded and mixed by the band in early 2009. Mastered by Alan Douches @ West West Side Music in Summer 2009.

In fall 2008, the band wrote the soundtrack for Jeff's Obama movie called THE THRILLA IN WASILLA.
